Better handling of IO Error when uploading photos

  • I use the Media Library a lot because I upload a lot of photos to my blog. I’ve noticed that WordPress is having some problems with larger albums (more than 60-70 photos) – I often get an error on 1 or 2 photos while they are uploading.

    While WordPress is “crunching” a photo something happens and an error is displayed in red, bold text: “…Please try again later. [Dismiss]” where the photo is in the list. At the top, above “Choose files to upload” it says in red text “IO error.”.

    It would be great if there was a retry button for each photo that had an error. Then the photos would be placed in the right order – because when I try uploading these photos (that resulted in an error) they are placed at the end – out of place.
