Better filtering+sorting in media attachment dialog

  • I often need to attach media to the front page. Currently in the media attachment dialog I have to search for the front page title.
    It would be nice to have more filtering and sorting options, like the front page or posts page.
    Also sorting by title and modification date can make things much easier.

  • Better filtering and sorting all around would be nice. I am trying to delete unused media, but the “Unattached” filter is too specific. It shows me everything that wasn’t specifically uploaded in a post edit, or that wasn’t manually attached to a post or page. That is almost entirely useless. When I upload a gallery, I don’t wait to upload the photos in the middle of creating the post. I upload media separately.

    I really wish I could see all pertinent information about media directly in the library, and sort accordingly.
