The license checking system is cached for a bit, so if you literally *just* installed the Pro version, and it’s not being seen as valid, go to the “Setup Test Tool” page. Visiting that page forced an uncached query for the licensing data. On that page towards the bottom, the “Better Analytics Pro License” line should have a green checkbox. If it doesn’t, let me know and I can help figure out what exactly is failing.

Tried it multiple times yesterday and today and haven’t had any luck yet…

I checked the logs on our licensing server, and it hasn’t seen a request from crunchy.co (ever) yet.

Which points to 1 of 2 things that I can think of:

    1. Your server has disabled PHP from making external HTTP calls. This could be at the php.ini level, or there’s also an undocumented option you can add to your wp-config.php file to do it. Specifically check if your wp-config.php has “WP_HTTP_BLOCK_EXTERNAL” or “WP_ACCESSIBLE_HOSTS” defined in there (if it does not, then you should be fine).

Now if those aren’t defined in your wp-config.php and you are able to use WordPress’s auto-update functions to update WordPress and/or plugins, then I wouldn’t think it’s a request blocking issue.

    2. The better-analytics-pro directory is in the wrong place. It should be directory in the wp-content/plugins/ directory like so:

wp-content/plugins/better-analytics-pro/ (it should be in the same directory as the normal “better-analytics” directory.

Let me know either way so we can get this resolved.

Oh yeah… haha sorry. I’ll see about putting a big note on the page about that.

I guess one of those things that I shouldn’t assume people know what to do. ??
