• Hi Allen,

    1. Still have more posts than expected. Many are older than the 3 day period I have set for expiration.

    2. If I change the time to expire, does that reset all expire times or only new posts? (I think only new posts). This may be part of the solution for 1 but not complete solution.

    3. During upgrade from previous version to beta, what happens to existing posts? Are they converted to a new database format and then deleted from old format?

    4. Can I use shortcode field names – or real plugin field names – to populate info into a theme post page? e.g. the theme displays the top level category but that is not the actual category I want to display in each post – I want to display the plugin category. (I guess I want everything my way!!!). Same for author. I am not the author so I want to display the plugin author.

    5. Nice to have..
    – a menu option to delete all plugin posts older than x date.
    – a prev and next option in the feed list edit.

    Pete

if you have my plugin delete posts that are, say 1 day old and then your feeds don’t have new items in them, then the items will be imported again. Having the deletion set for one day works for sites that have RSS feeds that are constantly updated, but not good for sites that have RSS feeds that are updated irregularly.

Noticed that and not a problem.

Was having a few issues that I couldn’t resolve easily so decided to clear out the database and then reinstall the latest beta plugin.

All going well so far…except…want to associate my plugin categories with wp categories but get the message – you need to add another plugin category before……..

    A few points…(autopost)

If the excerpt length is X and there are at least X words in the post, the read more/source info is not there. Works fine if less than X words.

Feed source is adding an extra “:” no matter if label or blank.

you do need to add plugin categories before you can associate a plugin category with a blog category.

As for the extra “.”, please give me an rss feed where you know this is happening as I can reproduce this right now.

Categories: That I know! Have many. I think I ran into this issue once before and solved it by using a different browser. I will check that shortly.

Not logged into wp right now but if you have a look at home page of whiddy.com you will see examples. I can send you the feeds later.

Categories:- Yes the message box comes up in IE 11 but not in Safari. No problem with the associations. Haven’t tested other browsers yet. Forgot I had this issue weeks ago (before the beta). Remembered it a couple of hours after I had contacted u. Maybe something to do with my IE settings on this PC. Will check later on some other machines.
