WordPress maps API

  • Can anyone recommend a map API for WordPress? Free or paid is fine but i would prefer free.

    I’m looking for the following:

    -A map which is responsive for both desktop and mobile
    -Visitors can submit locations with metadata to be reviewed by an admin
    -zoom and pan functionality
    -Doesn’t have to be google but would be preferred

  • It seems to me you’re not looking for a map API, but a WordPress map plugin ??

    The map API would be provided by the mapping service (Google Maps, OpenStreetMap, Bing Maps, GeoNames, Metropix, MapQuest, etc).

    The WordPress map plugin would give you the features you’ve described above inside of WordPress… while using a map API key from one of these mapping services providers to display the actual map.
