best wordpress GPL theme

  • i’m looking for GPL theme for my new website (i don’t want a theme under CC license), but i found some strange things like themes based on a GPL theme relased under CC with mandatory links.

    what are in your opinion the best GPL themes for wordpress?

  • Brian Gardner has a clip of really nice themes on his themes page. I have used Vertigo on my own site. I have not checked all the themes, but those I have checked are released under GPL.

    BTW: when you click on the link, look in the second column for the GPL themes, he has other (very nice) themes for purchase in the first column.

    GPL theme? could you tell me what is GPL? hehe …I think my theme is somewhat ugly! hiahia
