Best Way to Move A WordPress Website or Blog

I’m moving about 30 websites from Rackspace Cloud Sites to Google Cloud Platform’s Compute Engine. A lot of those sites have Duplicator Backups so it will be easy. Main thing I learned is:

1. Create a NEW Database in phpMyAdmin FIRST
2. Have the MySQL password and new database handy
3. Don’t be afraid to delete your wp-config.php file (but make sure you have a backup and the site totally backed up as well via Duplicator) so you don’t get an INSTALL ERROR
4. Run Deployment is a good thing!
5. Enjoy a glass of wine, beer, or favorite beverage while watching the “scan” perform
6. Celebrate after it completes
7. Make a donation to the plugin at some point when you can afford it if you are using the free version (like me).
8. Help others on the Forum who may be lost
