Best way to have pics load Up fast?

    I Have lots of pics in my galleries. They all load up slow because of their size. I use thumbs too but when you click for the bigger pic it takes long. most of the pic are 2+ mb.

    Is there are quick way to optimize a large amount of pics (more than 200)for web use?
