    Hey Gang,

I’ve used WordPress for blogging and podcasting for many years so I’m familiar with how it works. But I’m new to WooCommerce. Staging a store at https://store.tlooutdoors.com

I’m wondering the best way to get rid of the sidebar on certain pages. Basically, all the pages that Woo would display (cart, categories, product page, checkout, etc) – but I was considering KEEPING the sidebar as an option on the blog pages.

I’ve been searching and reading here and saw various CSS solutions.

I got rid of the sidebar on the homepage by changing the template from “Homepage” to “Full Width”; however, when I did this, I lost all of the default Storefront homepage displays, like categories, recently purchased, etc – all of that dynamic content that I don’t want to lose (and I’m not sure how to add it back)

I don’t know if this is the best solution for that reason, and then, for example, when you click to view a product, that appears to be some type of page, but I don’t know which “page” it’s using.

Any help for a Woo newbie would be much appreciated.

    Hi there @fmckinnon!

To get rid of the sidebar on the Shop, Product, etc pages, you can go into Customizer > Widgets > Sidebar, then remove all of the widgets. Once they are all gone, it will switch to full-width and the sidebar will be gone.

Then you can switch your homepage back to the “Homepage” template to get all the other Storefront sections back as well.

I hope that helps! Have a wonderful day!
