• Hi everyone!
A client of mine still uses wordpress theme twenty ten, which, until now, was totally what he wanted. Now he would like something responsive but in more or less the same style. I checked theme twenty sixteen, which also features a sidebar but unfortunately no header image above the page title. What would you recommend as a responsive follow up theme to twenty ten? And how would you do the transition? I suppose just switching from one theme to another in the wordpress backend will mess up the content, as twenty ten is so old…
Thanks for your advices and tipps!
    Best,
    Hanna

“Best” questions can get real spammy real quickly. Best to you doesn’t mean best to others and vice versa. ??

Try Twenty Seventeen or Twenty Sixteen.

I find that they’re both easily modified, well documented in the source and well supported.

    Thanks Jan, for your reply!
How would you switch from theme to theme in order to not mess up the whole page too much?

The theme is what displays your content, when switching themes everything will change and there is NO WAY to avoid it.

Like getting a new house, the people living there are the same, but EVERYTHING else is different, where the bathroom and kitchen are, the closets… Get it?

Thanks for your input! I tried it now and the changes are ok. I was actually surprised that all the blog posts, links and even the widgets are still there ??
