    Hi there,

I would like to know which is the best solution to remove a great amount of products from shop temporarily. “Temporarily”, because my aim is to put them online again at a later stage.

I have thought to move them to the trash since it is the fastest way to remove hundreds of products offline alltogether. How long do they remain in the bin? Can I change this time?

Moreover a second option could to turn them in draft mode, but I think it would take a lot of time because I have to deal with them separately.

    Am I right?

    Thanks for support,

    Dumman

  • Hello @dumman999,

    Thanks for reaching out.

If you want to temporarily remove a large number of products from your shop, moving them to the trash can indeed be a quick method. By default, items in the trash will remain there for 30 days. Unfortunately, this duration cannot be changed within WooCommerce.

However, you may want to consider a second option, which is to use the ‘Bulk Edit‘ feature to change the status of all your products to ‘Draft‘. This will make them invisible on your shop, but they will remain in your product list for easy access.

To do this, go to the ‘Products’ page in your dashboard, select all the products you want to hide, select ‘Edit’ from the ‘Bulk Actions’ dropdown, and then click ‘Apply’. In the ‘Status’ field, change it from ‘Published’ to ‘Draft’, then click ‘Update’. This will remove the selected products from your shop view, but keep them handy for when you’re ready to re-publish.

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Meanwhile, if it isn’t too much to ask for – would you mind leaving us a review here?

It only takes a couple of minutes but helps us tremendously. It would mean so much to us and would go a really long way.

    Thanks!
