Used to be the best, now it’s just one hellish update after another

I’m revising my review from 5 stars to 1 star. Since the 2.x to 3.x update, it’s just been one hellstorm after another. I can no longer recommend this plugin, as it seems every single update breaks things. This plugin is installed on many dozens of client sites, and has turned into a customer service nightmare. It’s also cost me a ton of money to try to support and keep my clients happy. I’M FED UP AND DONE WITH IT.

This most recent update lost the license keys for my clients’ sites (again), and settings reverted back to defaults. And, changing settings won’t “take.” For example, I have one site that’s showing only a Pinterest sharing button, when it’s supposed to be showing several others as well.

My old review:
Social Warfare is by far the best social-sharing-button plugin I’ve ever used. I recommend it to all of my clients.

I especially like the Share Count Recovery tool in their premium version — if you ever change URLs (changing permalinks, or going to all-SSL), it can aggregate the share counts from the old URLs and your new ones, so you don’t lose all your “social proof.”

Additionally, their tech support is excellent — Nicholas, the lead developer, often helps out with tickets, and they are always quick to respond.
