Best simple CRM for WordPress

There are not a lot of CRM plugins for WordPress. The best of them are already overbuilt and carrying a lot of legacy code, regrettable interface design patterns, and they do not just work out of the box. LeadIn does!

The LeadIn team has zeroed in on the need for basic but extensible CRM functionality for the common WordPress user and small business sites. LeadIn is lean and simple to learn and operate. It’s easy on the eyes, and it presents you with a minimum of intelligible decisions in its settings and expansion options. As a project of HubSpot, I have some confidence that LeadIn will be supported well for a long time by a leader in inbound marketing that also seems to “get” WordPress.

The only thing that may take some getting used to is how the expansions or “power-ups” work and are controlled — the way their settings work is not as clear as it should be because they have followed the non-standard (bad!) Jetpack pattern.

There are not a lot of power-ups for LeadIn available yet, but you can suggest them or help fund their development by becoming a VIP agency partner of LeadIn. This is a good and promising model for commercial plugin development.
