    Dear Frank and Aoptimize forum,

I have a wordpress/woocommerc website using the Shoptimizer theme from CommerceGurus.
We are hosted on CloudWays Vultr High Frequency server.

We have APO /Automatic Platform Optimization/ by Cloudflare – https://www.cloudflare.com/automatic-platform-optimization/wordpress/

When APO is active alongside the CloudFlare plugin – should we disable CSS/HTML/JS minification etc. on the CloudFlare plugin? Does it make sense to keep both enabled, meaning that CloudFlare will try to minify the minified Aoptimize files or the same original files?

Secondly, we have Varnish & Redis Object caching enabled – how Aoptimize works with them? I believe Redis is only about the object cache so it shouldn’t be an issue, however what would happen if we also activate Varnish + Aoptimize + Cloudflare APO.

I talked with Cloudways Support and they told us that Varnish and Cloudflare shouldn’t be activated both as it may cause issue.

I still havent tested all these steps, because I prefer to hear your thoughts in advance.

I am just looking how to implement Aoptimize in the best way alongside our server settings and more importantly – APO/CloudFlare.

    Thank you so much.
    My warmest wishes

I would disable CSS/ JS/ HTML minification on Cloudflare indeed, there’s not much use in having things minified twice.

Other then that if you have Cloudflare APO (page caching on the CDN) then indeed Varnish (server-based page caching) is not needed (and having too many layers of page caching can complicate things).

    hope this helps,
    frank

    Sounds great!

In such case I will use Aoptimize as advised by CommerceGurus and then activate APO without css/js/html minifaction on the CloudFlare settings.

Thank you Frank for the very quick reply, it is always great to speak to you!
