    Hi,

I was wandering if there is a best practise on how to optimize an existing WordPress webshop containing 1200 products. I would like to use the Yoast SEO Woocommerce solution, but going through all 1200 products manually does not sound like an option. Is there another way to do this more efficient?

    Thank you.

    Regards,

    Richard

    Hello Richard,

    Thanks for reaching out.

The Yoast SEO plugin has an in-built feature to edit the SEO title and meta descriptions of your content type – products. You can access this in WordPress > SEO > Tools > Bulk Editor.

    Hi,

Aside from using the bulk editor, you can also use snippet variables to set a default SEO title and meta description template for all of your products. You can learn more about it here — https://yoast.com/snippet-variables/

We also have lots of helpful articles on how you can further optimize eCommerce on your site — https://yoast.com/tag/ecommerce-seo/

If you are interested in the Yoast WooCommerce SEO plugin (it’s an add-on/extension plugin from the main Yoast SEO plugin that should integrate and work well with WooCommerce), you can check it out here. We wish you all the best in further optimizing your site!
