• Hi,

I have created a staging site with this plugin yesterday, it was smooth. However, I am bit confused regarding the best practices of using a staging site. I can test changing themes and plugins in the staging site before making changes to the live one, I understand. But what about the new posts/pages/forums/woocommerce products that I will create in future? I will create new contents in the live site, which will not be present in the staging site.

Is it recommended to copy all the new contents to the staging site? If yes, then what’s the convenient way to reduce the extra work? any duplicating plugin??

Or should I just worry about the themes and plugins settings in the staging site?

    Hi,

that depends on your personal work flow. In first instance you could test plugin and theme updates. You could also update the staging site everytime you are creating new posts on the live site, so you make sure that both sites are in sync.

Having both sites in sync as much as possible anytime is the best way to reduce any possible error.

There is a “update” function which updates the clone with all changes of the live site.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your input.

However, I couldn’t find any “update” option, where is it? Is it available in the Free version?

It’s not really hidden, why can’t you see the button?
All eyes on that one: https://take.ms/IQZkN ??

I was fool enough to deactivate the plugin after migration :p

    Thank you ??
