Which is best to do? The links work when I keep it simple:
    <a href="https://google.com/get/bla/">Book now!</a>

, but when I do the official “insert affiliate link” in the text editor. it outputs more:

    <a title="product name" href="https://google.com/get/bla/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Book now!</a>

Is the simple version okay? It still opens in a separate window and is no follow. I am not sure if this is due to your plugin though, or if it is due to a different plugin. I believe it is yours though because when I change the global setting, it took effect, despite me not adding the target blank part.

  • Hi @jasperdev101,

You’re welcome to do either. The Link Fixer module (if you have it enabled) will fix anything up on the front end.

The nofollow no opener noreferrer things are added because that is what you likely have in the global settings under Link Appearance.

    Hope this helps!
