Best practice for creating space between colums?

Hi,

We’re working on a new website: https://forbrukerguiden.no/. It’s our second time using Elementor. The plugin has been fantastic and we’ll be using it for all our future projects.

We would like to ask what you recommend as the best practice for creating space between columns (within a section). Our concern is the responsiveness when changing the screen size (computer, tablet, phone…).

Based on what we’ve been testing, there seems to be 2 alternatives: 1) Add a small “naked” column without any content. 2) Add margin to elements, e.g. 20 px to the right of the text or image.

What would you suggest is the best alternative? Or perhaps we should do something entirely different?
