Best plugin to increase site speed!

  • This plugin is AWESOME for decreasing code bloat and increasing site speed! For me, it completely replaced the following five (5) plugins:

    Disable Embeds
    Disable Emojis
    Disable Feeds
    Disable XML-RPC
    Heartbeat Control

    I also use it to disable the following:
    1. querystrings (including JS and CSS version number in header)
    2. Google maps
    3. gravatars
    4. pingbacks and trackbacks
    5. WordPress API from header
    6. Windows Live Writer tag
    7. WordPress Generator Tag
    8. WooCommerce scripts and CSS on non-WooCommerce pages

    In addition, I use it to load the following asynchronously:
    1. Google Fonts
    2. Font Awesome

    *** As of August 1, 2017, it still does not offer the option to disable Google fonts. I submitted a feature request at https://github.com/hosting-io/wp-disable/issues 2 weeks ago, but no response yet. Once that feature gets added, this plugin will be absolutely glorious. ***

    Thanks, Jason, I have a roadmap we are working off (from a facebook poll) and will definitely add the disable GF to it

    I get happy every time I see a new update released, but it does not appear that any of my “wish list” options have been added. I’d love to these options:

    1. Disable Google fonts
    2. Disable texturization / wptexturize (automatic curly quotes, ellipses, em-dashes, etc.)
    3. Disable self-pinging
    4. Prevent Divi theme from printing version in header
    5. Disable/redirect “author” pages
    6. Disable/redirect attachment/image/file pages

    working on some bigger changes, but most of this already on roadmap, so will be adding
