Best Plug-In I Use
-
Brilliant. As my blog has expanded (fortheloveoftech.com. Cheap plug, I know), I have continued to add menus and submenus; however, WordPress maxes out menu and submenu items at something like 90. I searched Google and found all kinds of solutions to use to edit the code and nothing worked. This plug-in was a godsend. All I have to do is add a parent category or parent page to the menu and all subcategories and sub-pages are added below it. My menu items went from well beyond the maximum to about a dozen.
There’s also a hidden feature that makes my life a million times easier. When I get a new phone to review, I have to add a menu item to the Camera Comparisons tab and the Photo Archives tab. I would add the category in WordPress and when I started using it, add it to the menu, which were two separate tasks because I didn’t want to add it to the menu until AFTER I published it. Don’t want users clicking on a link in the menu and not finding any content.
This plug-in took away that step. When you make a new category, this plug-in doesn’t add it to the menu UNTIL you have content in the category! Awesome!
