best place to look for pro wp consultant?

  • I’m new to wp, and while I managed to get a wp weblog going, there are a lot of technical issues I just don’t have time to figure out. I’m pretty comfortable with css and html, but php gives me hives. There are alot of things that need doing that require diving into php, and, I can’t take the time to learn it. For example: how to fix wacky style renderings in various browsers, how to snag the sidebar that slides to the bottom of the page in a drunken sprawl (but only on some pages, and not always), how to get the @!@L#J$ tag cloud working. Also: I need to futz with the mysql databases to move the new wp weblog into the spot where the old, increasingly quirky and buggy mt weblog is now. (I did successfully transfer all the posts and comments from mt to wp.)

    So I would love to find somebody who is (1) knowledgeable (2) experienced with wp and mysql (3) fastidious (so things stay fixed) thorough (4) patient. I would be more than happy to pay this person the going rate. Except I don’t know where to look for such a person. This seemed like a logical place to start.

    The not-yet-launched version of the wp weblog is called storytelling3.

    @storyfirst: Do not let whooamai put you off too much. Plenty of pro’s hang out in this forum. Just post an email address and then this thread can be closed. And post to the pro mailing list. Hopefully someone will get in touch.
