    Hello,

I have Share hosting, php 7.3 & install Memcached.

From Server, told me to set your plugin, with
Page Cache Method: Memcached, not Enhanced.

Is this really the best practice please?

    Hello @hellenscarlet

Thank you for your inquiry and I am happy to answer!
Yes, using a memory-based caching method like Memcached is better to practice as it’s not consuming disk on your shared hosting.
It’s advisable, since you have it installed, to use it as a caching method for Page Cache, DB cache and Object Cache. Please note that using Object Cache and Database cache on shared hosting can slow down your website so you should use only Object caching with Memcached.
    I hope this helps!

    Where are defined settings
    1. Page Cache,
    2. DB cache and
    3. Object Cache.
We should use only Object caching with Memcached.

    Hello Marko,

    Thanks for the direct response!
Let me know please, if I understood right:

    Page Cache: Memcached
    Minify: Disk
    DB cache: Disk
    Object Cache: Memcached
    Fragment Cache: Disk

    Are these correct please?

    Hello @hellenscarlet

Memcache stores data in the RAM as key-value pairs and definitely improves the speed of the website as accessing the memory is much faster than accessing the Hard Disk.
So yes, you should user Memcached as Page cache caching method when available!
I am glad that you are satisfied with your website performance!
We would really appreciate it if you could take a minute and post a review here. This will help us to continue offering a top-notch product to users. Thank you for your help!
