I’ve tried many syntax highlighters. Crayon seems to be the best – many features, easy to install, and works very well (so far ; )

You can even override global settings for individual ‘Crayons’ [pieces of highlighted code] such as disabling line numbers for specific ‘Crayons’ with attribute settings.

There’s even a “Tag Editor” that lets you do that attribute setting using a simple dialog … and much, much more … all-in-all an excellent, very useful and feature filled plugin for WordPress.
