• This plugin goes beyond the one-stop bandaid fixes of the others in this category. Being able to fine-tune our sites on per page or per post type and make exceptions where needed was the key to getting the best load scores across the board. The interface is fantastic and I love being able to group the data in a way that is useful to whatever I’m working on at the moment. I bought Pro within the first hour after using it.

@drummergirl many thanks for leaving the 1000th 5-star comment!

I’ve briefly checked your website and noticed there’s still room for improvement as at least on the homepage, there is CSS that is just not needed and hundreds of KB could be removed from the total page size. These files include:

/wp-includes/css/dist/block-library/style.min.css (check this post that was written especially for this file: https://www.assetcleanup.com/docs/how-to-check-if-gutenberg-blocks-css-file-is-needed-or-not/)
/wp-content/plugins/fooboxV2/css/foobox.min.css – if you do not have any lightboxes showing up on the homepage, you can safely unload this file
/wp-content/plugins/fooboxV2/js/foobox.min.js – same here, you can actually consider unloading the whole “fooboxV2” plugin, it’s even better

Emojis can also be unloaded from “Settings” -> “Site-Wide Common Unloads” as they are not needed. Just to be sure about this one, you can check the other pages of your website (perhaps some need the WordPress smiley icons) before unloading Emojis on all pages.

I hope these tips would help you!

Thanks – I have not optimized the personal site associated with my WP account yet. I have been busy optimizing it on my company site and for clients. I will keep this in mind when I get to that site. Thanks.
