• Greetings everyone, I have been browsing the plugins for WP, and so far, there are so many of them for image manipulation, uploading, etc. that i’m a bit confused as to which one is better and which one I should use.

I just want a simple uploader so when I am writing a post, I can upload an image from my desktop and have in placed into the post, with options like:

Keeping the size of the image intact in the post
Ability to make a thumbnail, use the tumbnail in the post and link to a popup window with larger size
    etc…

The defaut WP uploader seems to be thumbnailing my images when i put them into a post, and shrinking them as well. Some I would like to keep the same size when put into a post, some i would like to tumbnail in the post and link to the larger image..

which plugin would be best for this? I tried the “PUP” plugin and it didn’t work at all.

  • You the built in uploader can do both thumbnails and original sized images in your posts. Click on the image in the image browser and then click on “Using Thumbnail”. It will change to “Using Original”, which will place the original image in your post instead of the thumbnail.
