Best Image Optimization Plugin I have used

  • I have tried 15 image optimization plugins and I have finally found the one for me. EWWW Image Optimizer is the best plugin for me. I have found that it works fantastically well on Virtual Private Servers (VPS) like those provided by UPCloud and digitalocean. I have found that EWWW Image Optimzier does not work well at all on shared hosting environments. You really need a VPS or better to take full advantage of what this plugin has to offer.

    Hi @adamdjbrett, thanks for sharing your experience. While there are some shared hosting environments that are ill-equipped to handle the burden of image optimization (in the free mode), I’ve worked with several that have no trouble handling the demands of server-based optimization, so YMMV (as with just about anything in the web hosting world).
