• Hello!

I’m trying to find the best completely free chat solution. I am a solo practictioner in a therapy practice and thus only need one active chat at a time on my website. I’d like the chat to simply be a button people can click on if they wish to chat (versus being very obvious that there’s a “Chat with us” pop up or an automatic chat that starts when people are on my site).

Anyway, I want it to be completely free and come with email support if I’m not online or some way to leave info if I’m not available. Having an iOS app would be great so I can answer chats that way.

No need for support of more than one active chat (of course, if I’m in an active chat, then I want the other person – if they’re trying to chat with me -to be able to leave a message as if I’m offline I guess. And also no need for support of more than one website or agent since I will be the only one.

I’ve been trying Zendesk Chat Lite, but it seems a little slow to load, etc. I think WP Live Chat will be one of the best options once they come out of the beta stage with their iPhone app. I hope they don’t charge to use that feature though.

LiveChat is good, but you have to pay for it.

Formilla was perfect, but it turns out that the iPhone app requires a subscription after the trial.

    Any tips or suggestions?

    Thanks!

    Patrick

I’m going to close this topic as “Best” gets often spammy and people are tempted to discuss pricing. That’s just not for these forums. I suggest you look for plugins like so.

There’s a lot to look at so install one on your test setup, give it a shot and see which one you like.
