Best easy WP forum plug-in (or other option)

  • I have checked the archives but can’t find what the consensus is regarding using a forum plug-in or simply using another forum product (and linking to it on the WP site).

    What is the easiest to install and use; and most reliable free forum software (or plug-in)?
