• Hello,

    I’ve had a website with PHPNuke for years now, and now that I started a secondary project I decided to experiment with WordPress because of its reputation.

    Well, the links to https://www.kingdomhearts-3.info’s pages are “?page_id=xx”. I want to know how exactly can I create “unique links” like I’ve seen in most WordPress websites, f.e: wxw.domain.com/wordpress/some-category/some-post-name-here.

    I also want to ask, how can I use different sidebars for pages created using WordPress? f:e, for affiliation page I’d like to use to insert a sidebar that you won’t see in the index page.

    Thanks a lot in advance.

    Best Regards,
    Ram Sayeg.

  • First question: this can be set onder wp-admin->options->permalinks. Pretty self-explanatory from there.
    Second question: Use conditional tags in your sidebar.php. Example:

    if (is_home()) {
    code for home sidebar
    }
    elseif (is_page('12')) {
    code for page 12 sidebar
    }
    elseif (is_page()) {
    code for pages sidebar
    }
    else {
    code for other sidebar
    }
