Beginner Questions

  • Howdy,
    I’m a little confused on install procedure. What is the actual shortcode I’m installing? Is it literally ” [bp-instant-chat] ” that I’m pasting somewhere? If so, where? And ideally I’d like the chat option on every screen across the site for the members to be able to use chat, not just on select pages, so where exactly am I making that happen?

    Sorry for the noob questions.

    Hello,

    Sorry for the late response.

    When you activate the plugin, a page is created called “Chat” and this will be where the chat is by default.

    The [bp-instant-chat] shortcode allows you to use any page as the chat page.

    By having the chat on every page do you mean like Facebook? If so then you can’t do it.

    I can create a chat box like Facebook for a price if you would like?
