• As I understand it, if I replace the title “home” with a more descriptive title, it increases the site SEO. But my client is concerned that people need the navigation to say “home.” Is there a way to keep the navigation saying “home” but change the page title. Can someone refer me to a source to better understand this?

I changed it back to “Home” to please the client, but then the snippet reads “Home- James Tjoa& Associates…” I don’t want the snippet to say Home, but I don’t understand how to change it.

  • Here’s what you need to do..

    1. Go to your WordPress dashboard.
    2. Find the Homepage in your Pages section.
    3. Once in the editor for your Homepage, scroll down to the WordPress SEO by Yoast section
    4. Now you can edit the SEO title tex field as you want your title to look like.

Let me know if it worked for you.
