Beginner in need of help!

Hello,

I think I’m just being daft, but I’m trying to add a shortcode to the main layout that shows my Instagram feed at the bottom. I’ve put it in the child theme, but it’s not showing up. Am I missing a bit of code to activate it or place it? I’m just self-teaching myself how to use WordPress so this is all very new to me! Any help updating child themes would be really appreciated, as I want to add a few more things as well.
