• I’m not sure which of your forums I should go to with the following questions, but please direct me to the most appropriate forum if I chose the wrong one:

I have been told by my hosting company that Word Press will be the best solution for my situation, which is as follows:

I have a website that has been totally created through Frontpage 2000, and I have been very late in switching over to something else. There are over 300 .asp pages that were created soley by the use of the Frontpage Database wizard, which has been extremely functional for me in the management of my business.

The rest of the pages are .htm

I do not know how to write(or read)code whatsoever, but I am told that Word Press will provide the easiest transition for me in terms of learning curves.

1-I currently use an Access Database and am told that it would be best to switch over to a mysql database and to have the website hosted on Linux, instead of windows.

However, I was also told that I could use Microsoft sql and still work with Word Press and stay on the Microsft server, which probabaly makes no real difference to me, as I am facing learning cureves all around anyway. Which system would you suggest?

2- I understand that php is a replacement/aternative for asp (which I only know as being a coding language that the FP Wizard uses to view and update my database fields from tables and queries. In simple terms, will this concept be the same with php pages created through Word Press?

    Sincerely,

    Ron
