• hi,

Before I remove wordpress and reinstall it, does anyone have an clue how to fix my problem?

Since recentrly I noticed when I try to upload some pictures jpg ore png that I receive an often http error. What is special is some pictures will be accepted, others not. I have 3 websites at with my siteground host. The other 2 sites don’t have this problem. I found step plan on the internet and followed them. The problem remains. I even removed all the plugins in that site. I changed theme but I still couldn’t upload some picture. I even used an backup from an month ago, nothing changed.
I contacted my host they said to inform myself to some wordpress experts.

My media settings are 150;150, 300;300, 1024;1024 in all my 3 sites. My pictures where printscreen saved in paint as jpg ore png. Some pics i can upload, others not.
Some pictures i downlaoded can be import on 2 of my sites, not on my 3rth.
Another symptome was I found some word text document on my mediaplayer that i didn’t. The text where mine, I wroted them, but did not uploaded them. I noticed repeatidly trying to figure it out that when I deleted permanently pictures from media library to see after 5 minits that they where back on my media library.

I was thinking that in the last 6 months I have had many plugins installed and removed in my wordpress dashboard. Maybe there where some files in the background remaining that could cause this errors. Sometimes i go to filemanager and find some files of plugin that I removed longtime ago.

Does anyone have a clue what is happening ore has an suggestion how i could fix it?

    Thank you,
    greetings

  • Your site might have a hack.
Carefully follow this guide. When you’re done, you may want to implement some (if not all) of the recommended security measures and start backing up your site.

I forget the plug in that checks and another that cleans — I’d look into cleaning out your database first manually and see if anything helps… if not go in and locate any remaining trash or use a plugin for that – I recently had an image issue where it was loading them all in sideways except the first one I had to rotate them back and forth and save a few times on one and once on the others before it would work right. I’ve had problems in past with some images not loading but turned out they really did and didn’t show up.

CACHE flush and log out and in. As well as a database cleanse worked for me. The issue with the pictures there was several megs I cleared… but also, I had a recent update to my theme and that update I have had other errors resulting since it was updated.

It cold be as simple as trying the flushes or another theme temp sakes to see.

    Thank you for youre advise!

I will use you tips. I found the problem. I removed my wordpres account and I still could not properly add pictures. So the it could not be my wordpress. I found the issue in my sucuri firewall settings where I activated the – unfiltered HTML from being sent to your site- . After deactivating this item the problem was resolve.

I’m also going to clean my database like you proposed and do an cash flush to remove future problems.

    Thank you for help,
I wish you a nice day,
    greetings
