I am uninstalling this plugin after I paid for premium. It did not work as I thought it would. I paid for premium because I have over 500 products and I could not test the woocommerce sync and add to cart without the upgrade. Now that I have done that, I do not like how the plugin works. I believed it was a product filter. But its a completely seperate product listing. You cannot create variable products with the Ultimate Product Catalog. And you cannot display products in more than one category. Many of our products are multi-category and variable products. So this plugin does nothing for us.
I tried several different themes and tried several different configurations. But the truth of the matter is, I just don’t like this plugin. Its not what I thought it was and I have no use for it.
I have went with a woocommerce filter plugin and I would like a refund of my purchase price. I have looked all over for some way of contacting Etoile Designs to request a refund. But this seems to be the only way to reach anyone.

    Thanks for a speedy reply.

  • Hi Kim,

We do have an option of 7 day premium trial during which you could test all the premium features before deciding to purchase the premium version. Also, in case you purchased and later found out that it doesn’t fit your requirements, you could have just asked for a refund as we also have a no questions asked 14 day refund policy.
You could have just replied to the order email to request for any further information or assistance on setting up the product or for requesting refund as well. Nevertheless, you could email us at [email protected] and we’ll process your refund.

Thank you for your reply. I am not going to leave a negative review if I can get my issues resolved in this support forum. Because, as I said, the plugin does work … it just doesn’t work for me.

I think you should know that there is no clear direction on how to contact support in either the order email which I received or your support website which I visited. That is, after all, why I came here. So, thank you for telling me how best to go about requesting a refund.

Perhaps you could consider adding a “how to contact support” section to your order email. And you could consider placing a prominent “contact support” link on your support site.

But of course … those are just suggestions.

    Hi shoptwsonline,

We visited the URL that you shared above and it doesn’t work (we get a “Coming Soon” notice).

Regarding the issues you mentioned above, although products cannot be added to multiple categories, you could create a new “Tag” or setup a searchable “Custom Field” as a workaround.
Also, for the variable products you could use another custom field to show all the variations of a particular product on the product page, or else you could just navigate to the “Products” tab and duplicate the product and create a variation of the product by changing the attributes. Please note that this will create a new product with the details of the product you duplicate and will show as separate product on the front-end.

Could you please explain us what other issues are you facing so that we can direct you towards possible solutions?

I’m sorry to say that your work around would have me making hundreds of “variations” for multiple products one at a time. I cannot do that manually. We upload our database to WooCommerce. I believed that your catalog would sync the variations as well but that just isn’t the case. I do not want to have 50 listings of the same color on a page. We sell helmets in multiple sizes and colors with multiple installation variations. I am still working on getting the website ready for launch. But the jist of it is that your product does not work for our product line.

    Hi shoptwsonline,

As our catalog, by itself, is not a checkout solution, it does not have a variations functionality. That being said, if you’re using WooCommerce, you could easily enable our WooCommerce Product Page option, which would make it so that, when people visit the catalog and click on a product, they are brought to the WooCommerce product page (instead of the product page generated by our plugin) where they will be able to choose any variations that you set up in WooCommerce.

Just wondering if you have plans for implementing multiple category selection in the future?
    Thank you.

    Hi @umcphp,

If you are talking about selecting multiple categories in the sidebar of the catalog, to filter products, it already exists.

If you are talking about adding a product to more than one category, at the moment it is not possible to do so in the plugin and there has been no future discussion of it.

    Thanks for the reply.
Yes, I was talking about the latter and gathered that it wasn’t available currently, but I was wondering about future plans for it, which you have answered.
    Too bad…
