    Anyone else getting this error a few days after upgrading to 18.3??? I have not updated my permalink structure nor added a new plugin recently.

    This thread has me concerned I might get redirects when I don’t want to.

    Hello Ferio,

    Thanks for reaching out regarding that notification. I understand the confusion and I want to assure you there will be no redirects.

    What is likely causing the notification, in our estimation, is another plugin/theme making a change to a WordPress option. Since v15.1, the Yoast SEO plugin can now detect the home URL or permalink structure changes. And since it’s a significant change, Yoast SEO needs to rerun the SEO data optimization.

    Again, I want to assure you that performing the optimization process will not affect your site negatively in search results. Additionally, the optimization process will run silently in the background as content on your site is created, modified, or removed. Also, the optimization process makes our plugin work more efficiently.

    Please perform the SEO data optimization in the WordPress > SEO > Tools page on your site’s dashboard.
