Be careful with this plugin on multisite

Hi.
We had a big problem with this plugin on multisite. It cause a very abnormal high increase of usage disk. And there is only few blogs which uses it. We can’t let it in our platform.
We are investigate to know if we fork it and restrict the requests each 6 hours (as we use varnish too) or if we choose another solution.
