• If you have users using a freenet email address then those will be blocked because of the spamword list.

You need to modify the spamword list manually and fix this yourself.

  • This is a support issue; I’m not sure it’s appropriate for the review area?

    It is.

It is a warning for German users with visitors having a freenet address.

And it is a warning for this direction of the plugin:

It’s an aggressive plugin and there will always be false positives. Unblocking Freenet might be useful to a small percentage of users, but cause more spam for the majority of users.

It is likely that there are other strings with this problem in the list.

If people want that they can read this review and act accordingly.

For me it is a no go and therefore *I* review your plugin with 1 star.

Edit: And it is for needing 3 months to answer to my Issue with Pull Request.

@zodiac1978 You know I think you are the best, and I mean it, but links are removed from reviews as they’re left for words only and I have removed yours.

If you want to post this to the author as a support topic please consider using this link for that.

The reviews are for feedback only. It’s not for engaging an author to fix something or tell people how to do it either. Feedback only please.

    Thanks @jdembowski and @zodiac1978.

Zodiac is correct and this is a good warning. However, I would expand that to say that all users in all countries (not just Germany) should use caution when using this or any spam/security plugin.

There will always be false positives and Stop Spammers is particularly aggressive on spam. Every site is different. The solution here of course is to remove freenet from the spam words list in the settings. Every other aspect of the plugin can be fine-tuned as well, as needed.
