Hello @quistuipater
I am sorry to read that you have encountered such an issue.
The size of the activity logs database tables depend on a lot of factors. However, they should not grow very fast on most websites because data is stored in an efficient way.
Anyway, regardless of the above, it is important that you configure the system, the same as one would do with any other logging system. For example:
1) Did you configure the activity log retention policies? These are very important. In fact we have included the retention policies in the plugin’s wizard, so you can configure them as you configure the plugin for the first time.
2) If you want to store logs for a long amount of time, then we recommend you to store them in an external database.
3) Even better, you should also configure an archiving database so you keep the main activity log database fast and manageable.
4) On top of all the above, then you should determine if you want to backup the activity log or not, since there are quite a few different options available.
Managing activity logs is very important. In fact we have written about this in more detail in Activity log and storage.
I hope the above gives you a better understanding of what needs to be done to better manage the logs. If you need additional information or assistance, please do not hesitate to ask. I would also appreciate if you try the plugin again and configure the settings for better log management. Please keep us posted and update this review and rating.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
