    Recently, for unknown reasons, BBQ started blocking the popular SEO Ahrefs bot from crawling my site, could you please offer guidance as to how I can manually add an exception for their bot? The bot name is AhrefsBot

    Yes ahrefs pattern was added to the User Agent rules in the latest version. To remove it, you can use the free BBQ whitelist plugin. Just follow the steps to add this line:

    $bbq_whitelist_user_agent_items = array('ahrefs');

    Should be good to go.

    Also just FYI, the ahrefs pattern is removed from the latest version of the plugin, should be available within the hour.

    Hi Jeff,

    I installed BBQ pro 2 days ago, it still blocks ahrefs. Please recommend.

    Hi @somkiatf, I am glad to help but the forum rules here at www.remarpro.com prohibit discussion of any pro/premium plugins (it’s for free versions only). But no worries, just send a quick email via our contact form and I’ll explain how to allow any user agent that may be necessary. Thank you
