bbPress vs Simple:Press

Hi everyone,

I’m desperate for some input from someone that knows about this stuff. I have both a new forums site (about 1250 members and growing) and an older forums site (almost 16,000 members) and I want them both to be running WordPress for the front page with active forums as a feature that is linked from the front page.

We’re using vBulletin for both forum sites and with the newer one we’re using a vBulletin to WordPress Bridge that isn’t stable and it’s making everyone crazy.

So, if you had two active communities using vBulletin and you wanted to migrate them both to a WordPress forums site knowing that the users will expect to have all of the features they had with vBulletin, which forums plugin would you use with WordPress??

I’m thinking bbPress or Simple:Press.
