BBPress Shortcode Issue

    I am using TablePress and I like it.

    I am having an issue where the shortcode for one of my tables works fine in BBPress but I can not seem to get another one to work there. The shortCodes for both the working and non-working tablepress tables work fine in a post.

    I am using the correct shortcode format but when published in the forum the forum just shows the tablesspress shortcode.

    Any idea why this may be happening?

    Hi,

    thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

    I’m not at all familiar with bbPress, but my feeling would be that it’s not fully evaluating all Shortcodes when showing the content of a post. Can you maybe check in the source code whether it’s using the the_content() template tag function?

    Hi,

    alternatively, could you maybe ask about this in the bbPress support forums? Essentially, we need to know if Shortcodes are evaluated in the normal WordPress frontend context.
