• Bbpress is not for me. I need to install 6 (!) seperate plugins to get the functionality I want, which is quite basic in my opinion.
It’s too clean for me, and not good for advanced users with lots of demands.

Thanks for taking the time to create a review @yolandal

I’d just like to note that what you’ve pointed out in that bbPress needs half a dozen plugins to add the functionality you’re after this is actually by design for bbPress and we think it’s a pretty good feature ??

Have you ever been frustrated with forum or bulletin board software that was slow, bloated and always got your server hacked? bbPress is focused on ease of integration, ease of use, web standards, and speed.

We’re keeping things as small and light as possible while still allowing for great add-on features through WordPress’s extensive plugin system. What does all that mean? bbPress is lean, mean, and ready to take on any job you throw at it.

Currently there are ~200 plugins for bbPress available in the WordPress plugin repo. This same extensibility has allowed us to customise bbPress needs here for this very support forum you’ve created this topic on, and that I’m replying to, these www.remarpro.com forums have ~9 million posts and ~8 million users.
