bbPress Forum Topic Display

I am using wordpress with the pinboard theme. I am having an issue with my bbPress plugin more specifically the main forum page display. The first forum topic displays correctly and uses one column so the text fills the entire space. The second forum topic defaults to two columns. When I click inspect element, I can see the code and can make changes that will correct the page yet I am not able to save the code. When I refresh the page it reverts to two columns again.
Where can I update the bbPress style sheet code so that all forums are displaying correctly? Ideally I would like the forum home page to display all topics as one column not two.
