Hello. I installed this plugin and commenced customizing. Oh joy! Then after I realized that I can not access ‘forums’ on the main WP menu that allows me to actually add/remove/edit forums and forum categories. I already had that open in a tab and it said ‘you’re cheating’ or something like that. Then when I refreshed the menu links were gone. The plugin itself is still there. I thought maybe the style pack plugin was supposed to replace that functionality but it doesn’t that I can see. Is this something that can happen when bbp style pack is installed? Any ideas? Thanks.

yes, sorry version 1.3 introduced an error which caused bbpress not to display forums in the backend for some themes.

Version 1.4 just uploaded should fix this

Do come back if you have further issues

Upgraded and didn’t work. Now my site just has an error message.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function bbp_get_user_role() in /home/******/public_html/wp-content/plugins/bbp-style-pack/includes/functions.php on line 221

hmm.. That of course shouldn’t happen, the code is trying to reference the function which I have removed.

Can you try shutting down your browser, and then reloading it.

If that fails, then do you have ftp access?

No same message..yes I have FTP access.

ok, go to your site and find

    wp-content>plugins>bbp-style-pack

    and delete that folder

That will delete the plugin and get your site working again.

Then via the dashboard download version 1.4, and hopefully it will all be working.

If it does the same error (and it should not) then use FTP to delete again

Come back either way to let me know, and apologies that I am causing you issues !

Okay I did that and then installed 1.4 and it seems to be okay so far. I’ll let you know if there’s any other issues, thanks.

ok, great – wish I could explain why that happened on an upgrade!

I’ve only had 3 users with issues on 1.3 – the vast majority of themes are happy with it, but a small part of my plugin used a ‘wait until this happens then do that’ function that seems to clash with the some themes (suspect one that is playing that game also!), so as it was only a small aspect, I’ve taken that out.

Do come back with any further issues and indeed suggestions are very welcome also.

Hope you now have a trouble free experience

    Regards

    Robin
