    Hello – It appears there is a CSS issue with Ultimate Member and bbPress while using Betheme.

    On certain forums, there will be a gap above the menu, when the menu should be aligned to the top.

    Disabling Ultimate Member plugin resolves the issue.

    We temporarily removed our custom CSS to ensure it wasn’t causing a conflict.

    Update: This appears to be something to do with the “um-filters-avatars.php” file as the issue goes away if this file is removed from the “um-init.php” file.

    Customization questions about other WordPress plugins are, for the most part, never discussed on this free UM support board. Please hire a developer to help you with your customization needs.

    Hi Boris – Yes, that makes sense and is reasonable. In that case, I will rephrase my question to not include any 3rd party themes or plugins.

    Is there a way for us to selectively disable certain front end features of Ultimate Member? We only use UM for registration forms so all other features can be disabled (such as avatars etc).

    Thanks in advance!

    Yes, but it will require digging deep into css files and which would be, quite frankly, like getting a fast sports car to take the engine out and replace it for a 4 cylinder one.

    Ultimate Member is a community building plugin. If you only installed it only for its registration features, then you chose the wrong plugin.

    Hi Boris – Yes, I understand your point ?? However, Ultimate Member has all the features we require for registration forms where most other plugins lack. We may not be using UM to its maximum capabilities but it fits our requirements very well. We would prefer to keep using it moving forward.

    In the short term, can anyone please advise a snippet of code for functions.php that would disable initializing the line of code:

    require_once um_path . 'core/um-filters-avatars.php';

    From the “um-init.php” file.

    Thanks!

    Really? Maybe you haven’t really explored all the options.

    Anyway, if you don’t want to see profile pages, then remove the user page altogether. You should get a 404 page error where user profiles used to be.
