    Sorry for the late reply, for some reason I wasn’t subscribed to the support forum.

    Sure I can explain. At some point bbPress made a switch to reduce page load times: Instead of sending one notification email to each individual subscriber, bbPress sends one email to a bounce address and adds all subscribed users as BCCs.
