batch categories for 2.0

Well, stephie’s batch categories (even the one modded to work for 1.5.2 found here https://kryogenix.org/code/batch-categories.phps) does not work for 2.0 so i was hoping if anyone who knows PHP can spend a lil time making this work for 2.0, where the post summary is not displayed.
