Basic WordPress tools not working in new 4.3

  • I updated my site to 4.3 and now I am no longer able to add media to the
    site. I am also not able to edit pages in Visual mode. I am not sure what
    is happening. I have the Pixellin theme and all of my plug ins are up to date, but the issue isn’t even concerning anything that is related to the plug ins. I just click on the button and nothing happens and when I go to my library nothing is there but the images still show up on the site, so I know they are there. I thought maybe it was my browser but tried three browsers and two different computers. Please help! Thank you.

    Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

    If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Fifteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    Thank you! It seems to be from my theme, I switched to twenty fifteen and everything seemed to work fine, and then back to my original theme and it didn’t work. Is there a way to fix this through the theme or will I just have to use a different theme?

    What is the name of the theme, and where did you get it from?

    The theme is Pixellin. I’m not sure where it came from, it was set up before I started working for this company, years ago.

    I don’t know if they actually authored it though. Just seems like a bug collection of themes for various things.

    Anyway, there should be a README or something in the theme’s files for support I would imagine.
