Basic question- Pages don’t load in the correct order.
-
Hi,
I am fairly new to WordPress, and have run into a problem that I cannot solve.
I use the default page builder from WordPress with the help of the Slider Revolution 6 plugin to build the pages for the website I would like to make.
The problem I am facing is that whenever I place in modules into the page builder, they do not load in the correct order.
I would place the Module “Landing Page” at the very top of the page, and then I would place the Module “About Page” right below that one, but whenever I load the page into a preview, it opens up on the “About Page Module instead of on the “Landing Page” Module.
I have, out of curiosity, swapped these Modules around sothat the “About Page” Module sits before the “Landing Page” Module. Unfortunitely, this caused the “About Page” Module to flash for half a second before Loading in the “Landing Page” Module.
This, ofcourse is an undesired effect, and is what the problem currently is.
The solution that I am currently using is that Within the “Landing Page” Module, I have placed an ‘about’ button that, if clicked, would open the “About Page” Module.
This Opens up a module within another module, basically just layering differtent Modules on top of each other.
This currently works, but I am concerend for the sake of optimization, because I plan on adding a lot more Modules, some of which may contain media such as Videos.
It would be extremely helpfull if anybody could tell me how to fix the problem with the Modules not loading correcly, or possibly giving me a solution to the optimization problem.
This would be much appreciated.
It is important to note that my “Landing Page” Module is a carousel and the “About Page” Module is just a normal Slider Module.
